I would like to know where I can get the alpha or atleast the alpha purchase icons for CS:GO,as they are similar in style to Half-Life 2's HUD icons and therefore would be in line for my HL2 mod.

Specifically regarding ITakedown27's recent edits, I don't think the infobox should include CSBeta stats.

CS Beta is more or less a developmental phase of Counter-Strike. It is an earlier version of Counter-Strike and is the same game as Counter-Strike. Having two stats will be like including stats from an earlier version of CSGO alongside its current stats in CSGO, which is redundant and not helpful. There fore I would say that these CSBeta stats should be removed from the infobox and rewritten as prose in development or behind the scenes sections.

If the intention of this Wiki is to A) Be a source of knowledge for new players on maps, mechanics, etc and B) Hold information about the historical maps, mechanics, development, etc, of GO and every other CS, then the Wiki is doing a terrible job. For a small example, the link marked "Nuke" in the dropdown menu leads to whatever the hell this is. The map pages are inconsistently made: Dust 2 has a long section describing the map layout, Overpass is practically a stub.

That's not to say that the wiki is trash or useless, and I'm going to get on the editing grind, but it's still in a bit of a sorry state. 

Personally, I think these sections are useless. They are trying to describe aspects of the weapon in very awkward ways, loosely divided into "the good and the bad". Things like these should just be stated in the Overview section.

Or maybe we can just rework them into some sort of "overall weapon property description". I dunno. The current bullet point format just won't work because it's trying to divide a whole weapon into numerous disconnected parts that gives a weak reflection of how a weapon performs overall.

We're missing skins for the Glove Case. Glove Case/Gallery is currently a blank page. We're getting user complaints about missing images for Glove Case skins like the USP-S Cyrex. I don't know much about the rules of how we get images on this wiki so I guess I'll just have to bring this up to bring some attention to things that this wiki is missing.

Our featured pages are not actually good pages. They are a selection of random pages from all over the wiki listed on the main page just because we need some content on the main page. The maps are the Operation maps from Operation Bloodhound two years ago.

This is not how featured pages work. Featured pages are supposed to be the best written pages on a wiki, and are not just chosen by random to get more stuff on the main page. We need to have some quality judgement guidelines on how we select featured pages. If we don't, then we appear as amateurs as our featured quality pages are tiny pages like Flip Knife or Rails. (which is also a stub)

Even if we don't use the democratic voting that other wikis might use to determine which of the pages are suitable for featured page quality due to this wiki's low population, we can still at least have some featured article quality guideline to make sure the listed featured pages won't be stubs and low-quality pages.

So here's this piece of information I found on multiple weapon page:

IDF Defender: "This is one of four weapons that cannot fire underwater, with the others being the FAMAS, XM1014, and the Leone 12 Gauge Super."

I found this in the Trivia and decided to move it to the Gameplay section because I figured that it might be a notable gameplay fact. But I don't seem to remember any official CS maps having water deep enough to submerge you and make you go underwater.

So I have a question: Is this a notable enough of a fact to deserve being placed in the gameplay section?

I don't seem to find any information about it in the buy menus, unlike the previous games. Are they in the game files or something? Are we sure that we are not just making them up?

In this thread I want to discuss about Sam. According to stats, he is close with Larry. Both of them has a same skill level (75), cost 3 points, and use same weapon (M4A1). Their important difference are teamwork level (Larry-50 vs Sam-90), their aggresivity (Larry-90 vs Sam-50) and the silencer use (Larry-no vs Sam-yes).

So both of them should perform almost same, shouldn't they? However during my long playtime, I observe that they are really-really different. Larry performance is almost equal in every game while Sam performance varying highly throughout games. In some games, Sam will perform very good (almost same with cost 4 M4A1 bot) and obtain first place in scoreboard. In some other games, Sam will perform very poorly (like a cost 1 low skill bot) and obtain the last place in scoreboard.

Are you guys observe the same?

I want to ask this again on the forums. Is the blog post Braaaiiiins! that talked about zombies truly talking about making zombies official or is it simply a nod to the CS community? To me, it feels like that they had never intended for it to become official, but simply were using an example of a popular mod to acknowledge Valve's support towards the community modding scene.

If that is so, then should this page remain here? Or should we delete it because it is not relevant to the Wiki's interests? In fact, what is our official stance on notability for the Counter-Strike series? Is community content relevant?

So as some of you may know, I've been working on a project to document Counter-Strike Neo, the most obscure Counter-Strike game in existence, as well as its promotional visual novel, Counter-Strike Neo -White Memories-.

Using internet archives, I had managed to locate quite a significant number of files and historical data that could be useful to this project. However, I am currently facing several challenges, the most significant of which is language barrier. I am Chinese and can read a bit of kanji, but that doesn't help with the rest 90% of Japanese text. I need a translator who can accurately translate the information into English so we can document them.

Secondly, despite the internet archives, some data are still seemingly lost, as files are still gone from the archived version of the website. The most significant problem that this is causing is that episode 7 of White Memories is no longer available to be downloaded, and sources I find outside also lack episode 7. Are there any other sources of information I can find to fill in these gaps of data so we can paint a whole picture?

Should we include these in this wiki? If so, how are we gonna do it?

This is primarily motivated out of an interest to paint a clearer picture of the CSGO campaign since many flavor texts are quotes from the characters or mention the characters.

I'm seeing inconsistent descriptions of the CT faction on this Deleted Scenes mission, Miami Heat. Currently it says that it's got both SWAT and the SEAL Team 6, but some other sources only specify one CT on this map.

I'm pretty sure someone got confused, since the SWAT are reskins of the ST6.
