Overview

Anubis (de_anubis) is a community-created Bomb Defusal map designed by Roald, jakuza and jd40 and is featured in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and Counter-Strike 2, added into the game in the March 31, 2020 update along with Chlorine. Anubis was first introduced into Scrimmage mode only and has eventually found its way into the Active Duty Group, replacing Dust II.

On April 10, 2020, Anubis was moved from Scrimmage to Competitive after only ten days of being featured in the game. It was the second map to get moved into Competitive since the introduction of Scrimmage, the first being new Cache. On May 3, 2021, Anubis was removed from the game, however just over 1 year later, it was re-added on the August 16, 2022 update for for the 10 year birthday of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.

After the IEM Rio 2022 Major, on the November 18, 2022 update, it was added to the Active Duty Group. This is the second community-made map which has made it into the Active Duty Group after Cache.

Locations[]

Callouts[]

Note: This map is still early in terms of community reception. These callouts are based on early community feedback and are likely to change over the following months.

Bombsite A[]

Bombsite A is located to the left of Counter-Terrorist Spawn and is set between around a cylindrical object. It has one entrance directly from Terrorist spawn (known as A Main), and another entrance for the terrorists which links through mid. The corridor feeds to a walkway above the bombsite, where Terrorists can easily get control of Heaven and the entirety of the bombsite. Counter-Terrorists can hold the A bombsite from places like Heaven, on the Bombsite, A Connector. If they want a more aggressive stance, they can opt for a position like Plat or close to A Main.

Bombsite B[]

Bombsite B is located to the right of the Counter-Terrorist Spawn and is situated around an obelisk. Terrorists have two entrances - one through B main and the second through B connector (or sometimes known as Secret). Counter-Terrorists have two primary pathways to retake the bombsite from. These both approach the bombsite from a similar direction. Counter-Terrorists can still retake the bombsite through the terrorist entrances by either flanking through their spawn or from mid.
