Canals (de_canals) is a Bomb Defusal map featured in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.

On March 15, 2017 Canals was added to Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, along with the Spectrum Case and new models for the Phoenix Connexion terrorists.

Overview

The map is set in a historic Italian city built alongside canals. The Terrorists' targets are two important tourist attractions.

Behind the scenes

  • Despite similar themes, the map is unrelated to the cancelled map Venice[1].

Trivia

  • Prop Models and textures still refer to the name of the map used probably in early development: de_venice and de_tvstation.
  • The map was hinted in the game files 5 months ago before its official release.
