The Concussion Grenade is a type of grenade that was cut from both Counter-Strike and Counter-Strike: Condition Zero.
Overview[]
Concussion Grenade was available during the Counter-Strike Beta from version 3.0 to version 6.2 as part of the equipment in the buy menu, where it replaced the Flashbang.
The intended function of the grenade was to induce a concussion in enemy targets upon detonation, causing them to collapse temporarily — a mechanic that was not fully implemented during the beta stages.
In Beta 6.5, Concussion Grenade was reverted to Flashbang, restoring its original functionality and name.
