The map can only be played when queued for Casual Dust II. On every other round, the map switches from modern Dust II to retro Dust II (located high above the normal map in the map file).
The map is mostly identical to the Counter-Strike 1.6 version, but uses modern lighting, the modern Dust II skybox (due to using the same map file), and lacks the texture filtering used in the original game, making the textures appear crisper and more pixelated. It also lacks a stack of crates in CT Spawn, as well as the graffiti featured in the original map. The 20-year anniversary celebration has ended on July 16, 2019.
