In Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, the inventory is a player's personal inventory, allowing for storage for all in-game items, including skins, containers, graffiti, etc. Items are kept in individual slots and can be viewed, inspected or deleted from within the backpack interface. Additionally, most tool items can only be used from within the inventory. Items are displayed as pages, with each page displaying 30 items in five rows of six. The backpack can also be sorted.
There is no upper limit to the amount the player can hold in their inventory.
Access to the inventory is unavailable when the player is alive and after the warm-up in Competitive game.
The inventory is also linked to the Steam Inventory.
Individual items from inside the inventory can be inspected by clicking on them to pop up a menu and clicking the Inspect option. This opens up a screen displaying the item's appearance in-game. Different types of items have different backgrounds for display.
For weapons, this will play an animation of the stationary weapon within a display case, while the camera pans 180 degrees back and forth.
At the bottom right of the screen, the sign for the item's Item Certificate can be seen. Hovering on the sign displays the Item Certificate, which shows the item's Finish Style, Finish Catalog Number, Pattern Template, and Wear Rating.
