    Eddie

Eddie can be hired as a teammate in all difficulties.

He is a good choice for open spaced maps on lower difficulties when he encounters a lone Terrorist due to his low skill and the fact he only wields the Scout. He will struggle to fight enemies at medium ranges or when the enemy force is in a group. Due to these setbacks, Eddie is best used in defending some important areas like bombsites.

    Tactics

    • When hiring cost 2 bots, hire Kent, Ben, and Oscar first because they have better skill (60 instead of 50) and stronger preferred main weapon (Clarion 5.56).
    • When using Eddie in bomb defusal mission, he will camp at a bombsite. Therefore, he might be a good choice in defending open spaced bombsite (e.g. Aztec) on lower difficulties.
    • Unless you have a lot of points to spend or have no more suitable candidate to join your team, it is best not to hire Leon, although his overall value looks higher than other mercenaries, but in fact the weapon he uses It is the worst weapon of all cost 2 mercenaries: Schmidt Machine Pistol and the Five-SeveN pistol, which is extremely bad weapons, and the fact he uses Normal skill template, which is completely incomparable with the powerful rivals of AK47 , AWP or M249.
      • If a SMG wielding teammates is really needed, consider hiring Phil instead as he uses tough skill template and he uses the MP5 and is a all rounder decent weapon good for both medium and close ranged maps. Or hiring Pete who uses the P90 for close quarter combat for similar stats as Leon save for far better weapon and higher bravery.

    Trivia

    • Eddie is the only Tour of Duty bot which have 0 points of co-operation and bravery.
    • Due to Eddie's name being formerly spelled as Eddit in the CareerGame(Difficulty).vdf file and as Eddie in BotCampaignProfile.db (in the path 'Installation Folder\czero'), he is unusable in non-updated versions of Condition Zero.
