Magnar Jenssen is a level designer who is working at Valve Corporation since January 2013.[2] He worked on Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and is working on Counter-Strike 2, being responsible for creating maps.
Biography[]
Magnar Jenssen first "discovered" level design via games like Quake and Duke Nukem 3D in the year 1997, especially while playing the latter. Prior to working at Valve, he was employed at three different game studios - Grin (now bankrupt), Starbreeze Studios and Avalanche Studios. Magnar had to move from his home country of Norway to nearby Sweden for his first years working professionally.[1]
His personal projects include the Half-Life 2 mods "Mission Improbable" (in collaboration with Rick Underhill) and "Whoopservatory", Day of Defeat: Source map Palermo and Team Fortress 2 map Offblast, both of which have been officially added to the games.[3]
