A Music Kit is an in-game item introduced as part of the October 10, 2014 update to add new and custom music for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. When a music kit is equipped, the in-game music is changed to include custom tracks from various artists and composers created exclusively for Global Offensive.
The equipped music kit can be shared with anyone the player is playing with, and even include a special broadcasted MVP Anthem when the player is selected as a round MVP.
Music kits are available as offers in-game, or can be found on the Steam Market.
The custom music can include replacements (and alternatives) for:
- Main menu
- Round start
- Round end
- Bomb planted / Hostage Taken
- Bomb warning
- Won round
- Lost round
- Round end warning
- Death camera
- MVP
StatTrak™ Music Kits
StatTrak™ Music Kits will count the number of times a player has appeared as the round MVP, essentially tracking the amount of times it had played its MVP anthem. These can only be purchased from offers, In-game Store or by opening a StatTrak™ Radicals Box. Music Kits from the Radicals Box are only available as StatTrak™ Music Kits.

Trivia
- The music kit icon is shaped like an MP3 player with ear buds, but the screen appears to actually be a printed flip cover (roughly the size of the ill-fated MiniDisc when compared to the size of the earbuds).
- The music "featured" on the icon is Sasha's LNOE.
- The individual music kit icons are actually vinyl records.
- Although the album cover artwork varies, each record includes the Global Offensive logo in the center of the record.
- Music kits are referred to as "tone modules" in the game files.
