Stadium (de_stadium_cz) is an official bomb defusal map in Counter-Strike (Xbox) and Counter-Strike: Condition Zero. The map was designed by Chris Auty[1].

Overview[]

The conflict is taking place inside the Hackney Wick Stadium, a stadium that is located in London, England, United Kingdom.

Official Description[]

Counter-Terrorists: Prevent the Terrorists bombing the stadium.

Terrorists: Destroy the stadium.

Other Notes: There are 2 bomb sites in this mission.

Behind the Scenes[]

  • In 2023 there was a leak of Source developer asset repository, in which a lot of source files of Counter-Strike: Source were included. Among the files included there are decompiled maps including port of Stadium from Condition Zero.[2]

Trivia[]

  • This is one of the few maps in which bots will request backup in the situation when the bomb has been planted. This is due to the fact that it doesn't use the Bombsite A or B names.
    • The Bombsite A is named Kitchen, while the Bombsite B is named Lobby.
  • CT bots may have trouble reaching the Bombsite A, if they use balcony shortcut rather than taking the stairs.
  • Presetting too many bots in the map may cause the player or random bot to get spawnkilled, this can happen in both teams.
  • There are real world sodas referenced in the map at Bombsite B such as Coca-Cola and 7-UP.
  • One of the billboards at the Bombsite A read "Hot Diggitie Dog" which maybe a reference to the Dog's catchphrase Hi Ho Diggitie! from the infamous TV show, Cat Dog.
  • This map is one of the three Condition Zero maps that were planned to be ported to Counter-Strike: Source alongside Tides and Fastline but only Tides is released in the final version of the game.
  • The elevator button texture in the elevator hall leading to Bombsite B appears to be proportionally chipped for unknown reasons
