“A pristine sports complex becomes the site of an intense hostage rescue mission.”
―Journal Description
Workout (cs_workout) is a hostage rescue map created by Skybex and featured as part of Operation Vanguard in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.
On the October 13, 2016 Update, the map was removed from the game files, making Workout inaccessible via console. On April 25, 2019, the map was added back in to Counter-Strike: Global Offensive as an official hostage rescue map. The map was removed from official matchmaking on the July 31, 2019 update.
Overview[]
Hostages have been taken in a luxury river front sports complex.
Trivia[]
- A Ferris wheel bearing a striking resemblance to the London Eye can be seen across the river in the background, suggesting the map takes place in London, more specifically South Bank, which is reinforced by the choice of the British SAS as the Counter-Terrorist faction.
- The river bears a striking resemblance to the River Thames, while the bridges crossing the river resemble the London Bridge and the Tower Bridge.
- For some reason, chickens do not spawn as frequently compared to other maps in Deathmatch mode. They will usually be encountered at the T spawn. As such, finishing the chicken kill mission can be tricky on this map.
